SRE Components
This list includes eight types of pre-reading activities, five types of during-reading activities, and eight types of post-reading activities. However, we want to stress that these are possible components of an SRE. No single SRE includes anything like all of these activities. Moreover, as you will see when you look at the individual SREs on this Web site, each SRE includes a different combination of these activities, a combination that is appropriate for the students, selection, and purpose for which the SRE is designed. We turn now to describing the content and organization of the individual SREs on this Web site.
